I’m staying in Gunung Rapat area, 5km south of Ipoh. Sam Poh Tong with impressive work of art and faith and Kek Lok Tong famous with the natural stalactites and stalagmites located within this area too. Not to forget that Heong Peng is originated from Gunung Rapat too!
Drunken Frog’s Leg with Mee Hoon (RM 18)
The only edible part of a frog is its hind legs, it’s a tender white meat, the lightly sweet taste resembles the meat of young chicken, and is common in French or Chinese cuisine.
This is so good! I find it hard to resist herbal soup with lightly sweet taste!
Sang Har Meen (RM 36 with 9 prawns)- Big head prawns grabbed all the limelights. Prawn’s roe spilled to the eggy sauce and thicken it. Can I just have the eggy sauce? Slurp**

If you wish to drop by this place, do email me for direction and if you have spare time, do visit Ipoh and see what this small town has to offer. I might direct you to this place if I’m around!
