Attention seafood lovers! One of the best value seafood buffet in town is now happening every Friday and Saturday in Gobo Chit Chat at Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur for only RM 108++.

We were here on a Friday evening and we were fairly surprised that despite the heavy downpour and horendous traffic jam, they still manage to draw a good crowd. Gobo Chit Chat’s décor boasts of modern sleek design with classy finishes. The atmosphere is very warm and cosy that it is a great place for friends or families gathering, over the freshest seafood available of course!

Alaskan King Crabs – they may look like a scene from an alien movie there’s nothing quite  ike sitting down to a table heaped with steaming king crab legs.

These King Crab legs were notably sweet, with soft, delicate and succulent meat.

We normally start our feasting session by devouring on the selections from the cold station. In Gobo Chit Chat, the cold station follows the seafood theme. So apart from your usual salad and cold dishes, it features poached Salmon Salad drizzled with Wasabi Cream, Calamari Salad and Salmon Gravlax that whet our appetite for more.

One of the major highlight of this luxurious seafood buffet is the buttermilk crab live cooking station. It is not difficult to judge its popularity from the large pile of crabs spotted. The chef was busy manning 5 – 10 clay pots at the same time too. Remember to place your order with the chef, he will then pass you a numbered ticket. The wait staff will then bring you the buttermilk crab once it is ready.

Our verdict? The gravy was so delicious! It was thick and creamy with a  unique aroma imparted by the curry leaves and cili padi.

The seafood station looked really tempting too. Diners may indulge in fresh green lip mussels, blue yabbies and baby lobsters ready to be grilled by the restaurant’s friendly chefs. They can even do authentic Malay style ikan baker here.

We enjoyed the Japanese section alot. We visited the sushi & sashimi section (very frequently) to savour the freshness coming from the land of the rising sun.

Last but not least, those with a sweet tooth should be delighted to visit the the dessert bar. The Melted Cheesecake is a must-try (not in picture). It was so good that they were all gone before we even got to take a picture!
