Viva Italia Sunday Brunch @ Prego, The Westin KL is one of the most long standing and popular Sunday brunches in KL.
Starts from RM188 nett, the Viva Italia Sunday Brunch consists of a spread of authentic Italian antipasti and fresh seafood station from the buffet line, as well as various Italian dishes that are cooked a la minute. The waitstaffs will serve these dishes throghout the brunch, from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm.
Helmed by Italian Chef Marco De Cecco, we knew we were in for some real, authentic Italian fares.
One can also top up RM 260 nett for free flow Moet & Chandon champagnes, wines, processo, cocktails, fresh juices and more.
We started with some prosecco and an antipasti platter that chef has prepared for everyone. The fried calamari is definitely one of the best that I’ve eaten, crisp, light batter and tender squid all in one.
We also helped ourselves to the buffet line with great selection.
One can choose from a selection of Italian antipasti, handpicked collection of international cheese, charcuterie and homemade Italian breads.
We were excited to see freshly shucked oysters, mussels, scallops and prawns too.
Meat lovers will be delighted to see a wide range of succulent cuts of premium meats and seafood spit roasted on a charcoal grill outside the restaurants. Not only that, you can also help yourself to a selection of roasted meat and fishes.
You can also sit back, relax and enjoy the great selection of pass-around dishes to your tables. From wood-oven pizzas, home-made pasta dishes to succulent grilled meats; we could barely move after the meal.
Even the sweet selection such as Prego’s famed Tiramisu, Sicilian Cannoli Filled with Ricotta and Ginaduja Chocolate Cake and etc were so tempting that I just had to try some.
