The Pratunam is an area well loved by both Singaporean and Malaysian tourists. Apart from chained-brand hotels, there are many small boutique hotels such as Lemontea Hotel, Budacco Hotel, Glow Pratunam and GAAM Hotel. During our recent trip to Bangkok, we stayed at NAP Hotel Bangkok.
It is a clean, modern and comfortable hotel that we would recommend to anyone.
The best thing is, we paid only RM 220 per night (after tax). You can search for the best hotel prices from Wego, a travel deal website.
Every inch and every corner of the hotel lobby is instagrammable!
Don’t believe me? Here you go!
There are 55 rooms in the hotel and the design is modern comtemporary, with some traditional Thai elements.
Our superior room is decently sized (22 sq meter), completed with basic amenities such as TV, wi-fi, minibar, hair dryer and etc.
The bathroom is clean and modern looking too.
We also love the complimentary mini bar of snacks being replenished on a daily basis.
The hotel is located deep inside Soi Petchaburi 13 but they offer complimentary 24 hour buggy service. It will get you to the main street or to the massage parlours located in Phetchaburi Soi 15. To come back, you just need to call their number and the buggy will be waiting for you at one of the five drop off points.
My favourite wholesale shopping place is actually located inside Petchaburi Soi 19, you just need to walk into one of the alley and you will end up at the Pratunam Wholesale Market. Morning is their busiest time, and remember that you will need to buy minimum three pieces from the same stall in order to enjoy wholesale price. To illustrate, 1 piece of top could cost 250 baht, but if you get 3 pieces, it is only 110 baht per piece. Crazy cheap!
