Just few weeks ago, we drove down to Malacca for a staycation at Rosa Malacca. Initially, we had a lot of plans, in fact a long eating list to be ticked off. However, we ended up spending most of our time in the hotel, and only walked across the hotel for a satay celup dinner. Read on and you will know why we have decided to just chill inside the hotel.
The exterior of the hotel has a trendy and hipster looking aesthetic.
There are plenty of free parking spaces for hotel guests too.
The ground floor’s lobby space/waiting lounge is one of the most instagrammable corners of the hotel.
Rosa Malacca has also tied up with Uber to offer their guests 3 free rides worth RM 5. It is more than enough to get you to the happening Jonker area.
From ground floor, you’ll need to take the lift to first floor where you will be greeted by this sight.
I love the beautiful combo of colour and material palette. I love how they use minimalist style frames of varying sizes, the colors and content of the pictures tells the story of this hotel too.
Bica & Co is a modern contemporary spacious café located on the lobby floor. It extends the rustic industrial design from the lobby and the kitchen offers freshly prepared healthy inspired light meals, sandwiches, salads, homemade pastries and freshly squeezed juices.
Bica & Co Courtyard is an alfresco dining area with marble table, denim benches and high glass ceiling, piped fresh air, drenched with natural light from large conservatory-style windows during the day.
The hanging lightbulb installation looks like starry skies in the evening. Major love!
Breakfast is serve on a daily basis in both the indoor and courtyard restaurants.
We spent a lovely afternoon chatting with Ana and Mei Phing from Rosa Malacca. They are really passionate about the hotel!
Rosa Malacca is a boutique hotel with 7 floors and 60 rooms in total.
We stayed at the spacious Deluxe King rooms that comes with a king sized bed and a comfortable sofa to lie back for a TV session.
Our room was really comfortable and relaxing, hence kampungboy fell asleep and we had to cancel our plan for cafe hopping haha.
The shower was great – good pressure and consistent hot water.
Thank you so much for having us Rosa Malacca. We really enjoyed our staycation at Rosa Malacca. We wouldn’t mind returning again as a paying guest, as the room rates are really reasonable (RM 200+) for such quality rooms and services.
