Banyan Tree Bangkok is definitely an impressive looking hotel with 59 stories (62 if including Vertigo & Moon Bar) of splendour. Almost everywhere we went – our room, the spa area, the pool area, the gym, the restaurant and the bar; offers a spectacular view of the city skyline. Having dinner and drinks at Vertigo & Moon Bar located on the 61st and 62nd floor is one of the best ways to end a long day in Bangkok. We have been to many rooftop bars in town but Vertigo has always been amongst our favourites. This warrants another post on another day.
More than just breathtaking sights, the rooms at Banyan Tree are first-class and often associated with luxury. Remember to click play to have a look at our One Bedroom Suite.
Banyan Tree Bangkok is conveniently located in the Sathorn/Silom area, slightly away from shopping area and therefore is quiet for stay. It was just a 30-40 minutes ride from the airport. We were being ushered to the club lounge located on the 19th floor for express check-in. I would recommend everyone to get the Banyan Tree Club access because you will get to enjoy a range of benefits such as:
Complimentary buffet breakfast at club lounge,
Complimentary drinks and snack all day,
Complimentary afternoon tea (12 noon to 4 pm),
Complimentary canapés and cocktails (5.30 pm to 7.30 pm),
Complimentary free flow beer till 8 pm,
Complimentary laundry (up to 2 pieces per night per room),
and etc.
The hotel also provides a complimentary Tuk Tuk and shuttle service that runs to the BTS or MRT Station every hour from 9 am to 6 pm daily. It is also very easy to call for Grab or Uber here.
Our one bedroom suite comes with a designated working, living and resting areas, each furnished in tasteful contemporary Thai décor.
With small touches such as incense and essential oil fragrance changed everyday, you’ll know that this hotel is exquisitely managed with even the smallest attention to details and services that you would expect from any Banyan Tree hotels.
Banyan Tree’s selection of daily fruit basket is lovely, with detailed explanation on each tropical fruits in a little brochure by the side.
I love rolling around the plush king-sized bed with richly threaded bedding, so comfortable.
The room has a large luxurious bathroom complete with twin vanity sinks, walk in shower and a bathtub.
The rooms in Banyan Tree Bangkok take full advantage of the views with floor-to-ceiling windows.
As part of our club access benefits, we get to enjoy complimentary buffet breakfast at club lounge. This area is less crowded and the breakfast selection is very good.
After a long day out, we also enjoyed having our complimentary canapés and cocktails (5.30 pm to 7.30 pm) at the club lounge.
We also enjoyed complimentary laundry facilities during our stay (up to 2 pieces per night per room).
A nightly turndown service is provided and housekeeping is offered daily. On the first night, they gave us a Thai hand-crafted green turtle. It is part of their CSR programme to save endangered marine turtles around the globe, coral reefs, protecting wildlife and contributing to building local communities and schools. On the second night, two packs of aromatherapy incense were sitting on the bed, for us to bring them home.
Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, health club, ball rooms, meeting rooms, business centres, spa and etc.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in Banyan Tree Bangkok, so much so that we hardly ventured out from the hotel. We will gladly return here for sure.
