Jeh O Chula‘s MAMA noodles is definitely Bangkok’s most instagrammable dish.
This is also why local foodies and foreign tourists started to venture out into the crazy traffic of downtown Bangkok just to grab a bite of the mama mee/just to take some instagram shots. The average queue time is one hour – you have been warned.
From 120 baht to 800 baht, Jeh O Chula’s mama noodles comes in different portion size and toppings. We ordered the 250 baht bowl and it came in this super huge portion and loaded with ingredients such as seafood, meat balls and siuyoke!! The tom yam soup base was really thick and creamy and of course really spicy. It was a tad too spicy for us to be honest, should have asked for “less spicy”.
The siuyoke however is the bomb! The skin was so thick and so crunchy, and the fat layers literally melt in our mouths – so so so good!
We loved the thai style salmon sashimi too! The dressing was really appetising and the salmon cut was so thick.
I don’t mind returning here for dinner as Jeh O Chula sells mainly small dishes and congee before 11 pm. I will definitely order one big plate of that siuyoke!
