Gong Xi Fa Cai! What are your plans for this CNY? We will be travelling back to KampungBoy’s hometown on the east coast, then back to Ipoh to see my family members. CNY make for one of the busiest travel seasons in Malaysia as most of us trek to destinations all over the country to be home for family reunion. The festive season is filled with happiness and celebration, but it can also be a time of danger for road users. So here are some tips on road safety.

Do simple vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections. We get our car checked at a trusted Shell Helix Engine Warranty authorized workshop before hitting the road to visit friends and family. Do you know that if you purchase Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology or Shell Helix HX7, you will be entitled for an extended engine warranty programme of up to 12 years or 200,000 km? With S.H.E.W., we don’t have to worry about engine failures and all the subsequent costs that come with it.

Allow yourself to take short breaks when driving long distances. We usually pull over at Shell stations for toilet break and coffee break. We will also bring a few jars to give away to the relatives and family. I’m sure everybody loves CNY cookies as much as we do.

Oh did I mention that short breaks is also the best time to munch on some CNY snacks. Syok!
