    If you are cracking your head on where to have a celebratory CNY lunch/dinner on the year of rooster, Chynna is the place to go to! Chynna’s Chinese New Year set menu are available from 5 January – 16 February 2017, with prices starting from 238 nett per person.

    We tried the Great Chynna Set 大展华苑套餐 @ RM 298 nett Per Person and we started off with the Year of “Rooster” Lo Sang 金雞凤鳴 (大紅凤凰撈生).

    It is an unique and healthy rendition of your usual lo sang. Using only fresh fruits such as jackfruits, dragonfruits, strawberries and etc with crispy fried chicken, crunchy chips and drizzled with olive oil, it was such a refreshing dish!

    We always look forward to the “Kung Fu Tea” Pouring at Chynna, Hilton too. The 8 treasures tea is such a delight to drink too.

    Braised Vegetarian Fin Soup with Shanghai style Crab Meat and Fish Maw Soup 上海花膠蟹粉齋翅

    Chynna does not serve shark fins, hence this is a vegetarian fin soup with fresh crab meat and fish maw. A great tummy warmer indeed.

    Simmer abalone cube with sea cucumber and mushrooms in abalone sauce 鮑角腐皮肉卷

    At the first bite of the abalone and the first taste of the extremely flavorful abalone sauce, I was transported to Chinese food nirvana. Such deep and rich flavours!

    Steamed wild patin buah with salted fish and touchu, chili and congee broth 豆酱粥辣椒蒸河八丁

    You’ll taste the delicate, sweet flavor of the fish while enjoying the flavourful and slightly spicy broth. So good!

    Stir fried fragrant rice with sausage, char siew wrapped with lotus leaf 荷葉叉燒腸仔飯

    The rice was fluffly with great flavours from the sausages and char siew.

    Stir fried Korean pear with vegetarian meats and sea moss 蓮子齋肉髪菜炒雪梨

    It is a very unique dish, by combining sweet, crunchy korean pears with mock meat. Great combination that is not too burdensome for the stomachs.

    Chilled carol weed with ginseng and wolfberry 人参枸杞珊瑚草

    These are just right for dessert: light yet satisfying with plenty of health benefits. What a perfect ending to our CNY meal!
