Brunch @ Graze, Hilton KL

Hipster coffee shops are aplenty in Kuala Lumpur, and very often we found ourselves feeling dissappointed over the food quality. Why should I pay over RM30 for a plate of mediocre food which I can easily replicate at home?

Recently, we tried out the brand new Weekend Brunch at Graze, KL Hilton and we were really happy with the great food quality and reasonable pricing. The weekend brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Parking is FREE for patrons who dine in too.

Fresh Apple Juice, Fresh Orange Juice (RM 12)

    Cafe Latte (RM12)

Avocado & Smoked Chicken Breast Salad, Sun Dried Cherry Tomatoes & Mixed Leaves (RM 18). With a variety of crunchy and crisp textures and a refreshing  dressing, it really is a feast of the senses. The smoked chicken breast is particularly delicious, tender and full of flavour.

Ruffled Egg & Salmon Bagel, Dill Creme Fraiche (RM 18). This bagel is a delight at the first bite! It packs flavour and the serving of smoked salmon is really generous.

Fillet mignon, fried egg, sautéed mushrooms, olive oil toasted rye bread (RM 52)

Probably the most expensive item in the menu, but trust it, it is worth every single cents! The fillet mignon is grilled to juice perfection with a pink centre, the fried egg and sautéed mushrooms play a very important role to remind us that it is a brunch item. Or else, we will keep wanting for more…steaks.

Milk poached hake, 63C duck egg, baby spinach, sourdough bread, sauce hollandaise (RM 40)

It is a decent dish, but lack of wow factor. To be fair, hake is quite a mild fish, with a white flaky texture and a subtle flavour.

French crepe, stuffed with tomato, mushroom and leek, grated Ossau Iraty (RM 25)

Crepes are too good to only be enjoyed in France. The crepes in Graze has the perfect thickness and texture, and the filling is really yummy.

63C hen’s egg in glass with sauté mushrooms and white prawns (RM 18)

When my fork pierces the egg, the yolk oozes over the plate — adding a perfect, unctuous texture to coat the mushrooms and prawns. Egg-cellent!

Or if you are yearning for more freshly baked pastries, choose something from the daily bakery display stand (RM 9).

To sum it up – nice ambiance, great brunch, great service, reasonable price. We will definitely come back with our friends and families for a relaxing brunch session.
