Hansar Bangkok is a small, luxury hotel located on the pristine surroundings of Ratchadamri. Who says that size does matter when you win your guests’ heart with great services?
Our 71sqm suite was amazing, tasteful and charming with the clever use of sliding doors and mirrors. The suite’s separate living area includes a fully outfitted workspace equipped with wi-fi, plush couch for lounging when the work is done, and a 32-inch flatscreen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station.
Sliding doors give way to the bedroom, with a luxurious king-sized bed with superb quality linen that was beyond comfort. We basically dozed off in a jiffy and woke up the next morning feeling all recharged. Spotted was another flat screen TV in the room so there is no need to fight for our favourite TV show. Leading off from the bedroom, the expansive bathroom features double sinks, a decadent rainshower and free-standing terrazzo bathtub.
The hotel’s attention to details can be seen at every nook and corner – free Wifi, fruit platter that got refilled every evening, a small refrigerator filled with FREE snacks and drinks (beer, sparkling water, juices, etc), and some good books placed at the desk for guests’ reading pleasure.
Breakfast is served at this picturesque restaurant with al fresco & indoor dining. The breakfast spread may not be most extensive, but quality trumps quantity here.

#2 Hotel Muse
Hotel Muse is a boutique hotel located in the distinguished residential area of Langsuan, just a stone’s throw away from the Siam, Sukhumvit and Silom area. It is a unique design hotel that combines Rama V era of elegance and contemporary, with a playful twist.
Hotel Muse’s location is impeccable. There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel. Look out for one of the most beautiful Starbucks in Bangkok, and King Kong yakiniku restaurant along the road. Bangkok’s street food is not to be missed along Soi Langsuan. During weekdays, in the morning, working crowd flock to the street to buy some of the freshest snacks and noodle dishes. There are at least 4-5 massage and spa centers near the hotel which we visited at night. We slept like a baby right after our treatment.
The hotel offers tuk tuk shuttle service to Chidlom BTS station and there’s turn down services.
Our room is the Dowadueng Corner Deluxe. Sitting on a 39 square metre space, this lavish room is very spacious for the two of us. The room is located at the building’s corner for expansive dual-aspect window views, while a large bathroom window allows for dramatic vistas.

Vie Hotel is decidedly modern with a contemporary chic vibe. Our 81 square-metre deluxe suite is flooded with natural light and the floor to ceiling window takes in the awe-inspiring views of Bangkok city. We love the great attention to details and thoughtful turn down services here.
Location wise, the hotel’s surrounding is packed with restaurants and things to do. It is also very close to the BTS station, Siam Square and major malls such as MBK, Platinum Mall and Siam Paragon. There is even a hotel tuk tuk transfer to the shopping malls. From Suvarnabhumi Airport, I took the Airport Rail Link to PhayaThai Station, then transfer to BTS Ratchathewi station, only 1 stop from Airport Rail Link PhayaThai Station. The hotel is right outside exit 2 of Ratchathewi station, making it very convenient for me to walk over with my trolley luggage.
We usually get tired of having the same breakfast two days in a row but Vie Hotel’s buffet breakfast had enough variation to keep us satisfied. Love the varieties and great quality!
