Tucked away at the back of Damansara Perdana’s many rows of shoplots and eateries, Yuzen Japanese Restaurant beckons softly with its zen looking inviting entrance. We were here on a quiet Saturday afternoon and it was indeed an afternoon of pure indulgence.
Omakase Sashimi Special (RM 180)
An omakase ( chef selection) of only the freshest fish, crustaceans, and specialty seafood is available here in Yuzen. Leaving your meal in the chef’s hands can be a gamble or an unexpected reward, and we can assure you that it is the latter here. We sampled a series of fresh hamachi, tuna, hokkaido scallop and salmon sashimi; each one of them came with different toppings and dressings. The sashimis were so fresh, tastes like an ocean breeze!
Crab Meat Chawan Mushi (RM 10)
The sweet, smooth and creamy chawan mushi was so rich and glided down my throat easily. The chunks of crab meat imparted a mild sweet taste to the egg custard too, so good!

Surume Ika Teriyaki (RM 22)
The grilled squid was served whole. We enjoyed having it with thee intense briny liquid from the dipping sauce mad of squid eggs.
Chicken Teriyaki (RM 20.50)
This gourmet specialty is a flavorful blend of tender teriyaki glazed chicken pieces and Yuzen’s own secret recipe sauce.
Japanense Curry Pasta (RM 22)
The irresistible Japanese curry sauce sauce was mild and slightly sweet compared to other curries found worldwide, and was really delicious when served together with plain pasta and mushrooms.
Yuzen is a no-frills Japanese restaurant serving decent and simple food. If you are in the mood to splurge, go for their “weekly air-flown specialties” such as wagyu beef, toro and Hokkaido scallop.
