Fortunately for us, some of our readers who just came back from their holidays to Thailand told us that one could actually purchase DTAC’s Happy Tourist Sim to stay connected in Thailand. The sim pack is based on pay as you go. It is for tourists staying less than 3 months and the best thing is it starts from 49 baht (RM5)!

What caught my eyes is the cheap international SMS rate (5 baht/RM 0.50 per SMS) and free 7-day unlimited internet on wifi/3g for Happy Tourist SIM 299! That’s like only RM30 for unlimited internet, cheap call rates, low SMS rates, etc! Woots!

The Happy Tourist SIM pack can be easily purchased at Suvarnabhumi Airport (arrival on the 2nd Floor, Gate 7), 7-eleven, mobile retailer shops, dtac centers or service halls.

Kawp khun khrap for this lovely piece of travel tips!
