Being Malaysians, we are blessed with cheap Thailand flights all year round. Hence, we made it a point to visit Thailand, especially Bangkok at least once a year. Delicious Thai food, cheap shopping, friendly locals, great quality accommodation – what’s not to love about Bangkok? My recent trip to Bangkok was a great one, as usual. Together with my family, we chose a two bed room unit at Quad Suites Silom.
It is located within a minute walk from the Chong Nonsi BTS sky train station, while the Silom MRT subway station is just 15 minutes walk away. It is also neighbour to a few popular hotels such as I Residence, Heritage Hotel and Glow Trinity Silom .There are convenience shops and a lot of eateries and street stalls. During our stay here, we had Mcdonalds, Dean & Delucca, local thai restaurant and a lot of street snacks around our residence.
Quad Suites lobby is fairly small and there were only two staffs at the reception. Do not expect hotel-grade services here, as it is a place where you check in, get the room card and you are off on your own.
I like how they incorporate dashes of greens into this ultra modern private residence.
Quad Suites is also managed by Glow Hotel which is next door.
All units are well-equipped with up-to date amenities including a full pantry area, separate living room and a quad space with technology advanced appliances including iPod docking and free WiFi internet, flat screen LCD TVs, video intercom and key card access for maximum exclusivity and security.

A fitness room and a rooftop infinity pool beckons at the end of a long and stressful day. However, the “fitness room” is rather small with only two threadmills.
We paid 4200 baht per night and if you are lucky, you might get it for 3900 baht (promotional/last minute rate). The service apartment is great for families with 4-5 members. My parents were really happy as it comes with a full kitchen and shining utensils. They got to make their own coffee every morning and their fruits purchases. It’s location is unbeatable – centrally located in a heart of Bangkok just off Silom Road and just 1 minute walk from Chong Nonsi BTS station. However, you may want to give it a second thought if you expect hotel-grade service and accommodation as Quad Suites is a new residence with minimal staffs.

Getting Here:
BTS Chong Nonsi station Exit 4. Go down stairs, make a u-turn to Soi Narathiwat 3 and walk around 50 meters. Quad Suite Residence is located on the right hand side, opposite The Angel spa.
