A Delicious Farewell @ Delicious Cafe

    Tucked away in a corner on One Utama New Wing first floor, Delicious Cafe has attracted customers from far and wide with food that lives up to its name and relaxed ambience. A farewell party was thrown in my colleague, Yen Jun’s honor, it was taken as momentos of the good times by us, the faithful patrons.

    To start off, we had watermelon and lychee blast. The cool and refreshing watermelon and lychee is blended as one, making it a chilly refreshing drink.

    Since it is obligatory to leave some space for desserts, we shared a Seriously Delicious Cheeseburger Served with Shoestring Fries (RM21.90). The cheese covered patty is tender and juicy, well seasoned and gob smackingly DELICIOUS. However, the fries resembling tendrils of grease, pale in comparison to Mcdonald’s.

    Carbonara Spaghettini (RM17.90) with Wild Mushroom, Beef Bacon, Oregano and Cream. It is sinfully rich, egg, cream, butter, parmesan cheese all in one smooth creamy concoction. Dawson said that it is a pleasure for the first few bite, but eventually it becomes too heavy for his taste, the feeling of jelakness you know?

    Nasi Kerabu with Ayam Percik with Raw Ulam, Salted Egg and Keropok (RM18.90). It was funny that Dawson try to avoid the raw ulam at all cost because he feels like a goat for eating the grassy smelled greens. He just happily tucked into the ayam percik, nasi and keropok.

    Duck Confit Spaghettini (RM21.90) with Sun Dried Tomato and Coriander. The all time favourite has win Yen Jun’s heart. The olio styled angel hair pasta is tossed together with tender moist duck confit, making it the ultimate comfort food.

    Roasted Duck Red Curry with Lychee Served with Okra and Steamed Basmali Rice and Pomelo Salad (RM18.90). It does sounds interesting but Bon thinks that it is still a normal curry dish afterall.

    I was a bit disappointed because both my favourite, the classic chocolate cake and banana pudding was sold out. I decided to have Chocolate Brownie with Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream (RM9.90) for a change.Each moist brownie is chock full of nuts and chocolaty goodness. It was love at first bite for me. Spoon warm chocolate sauce over the ice cream, let it drip down to the cake, take one bite and you are in cloud nine.

    Blackberry Apple Crumble & Peach and Banana Crumble (RM9.90 each). The crumble topping is delicious and who can resist caramelized apple, berries, peach and banana?

    Yen Jun, we bid you a fond farewell and goodbye. All the best in your future undertakings.

    The service here is a bit slow but nevertheless the serving staff are helpful. We came out with a conclusion that Delicious Cafe serves OK eastern delicacies but DELICIOUS western food. Of course, their desserts have won and melt the heart of many. I will definitely come back for the breakfast menu and English afternoon tea.
