Floggers Meet @ Sandias, Bukit Damansara

The first ever food blogger gathering was held at Sandias in conjunction with Martell presents KLUE RSVP event. Thanks to boolicious for organizing this and babe kl for setting up the floggers group. I had a hard time to recognize those humble floggers who wish to remain anonymous. Your nick? Your blog? oOooOoo I know you! sort of conversation went around the place.

Reaching here is a breeze, thanks to the directions and maps uploaded by fellow floggers.

After so much of chatting in the virtual space, finally I get to meet Mei Yen in real person. She looks as great as her picture, and she has got killer shape with all the eating. I actually forgot to give you a toast on your engagement with Bob. Adui……

Kenny Mah the multi talented body balance instructor, Niza who told me that Kenny Mah’s word does not count because he was drunk and the lady who smells nice. It was fun talking to them.

Jackson from Klang who loves my coursemates and Kampungboy. No lar, Jackson is not a pervert, it was a guy’s instinct to admire ladies. He was kind enough to offer fatboycakes for babysitting his kids if we are going on a Bangkok Makan Trip. See? Jackson is one of the endangered male species.

The food was nothing fantastic but we enjoyed the night with great companions. We were brought together by passion for good food, our eyes just sparkle and light up when we talked about food (esp the sharkfin duck that Precious Pea tried) and the sound of our laughter filled the place.

I met Xiu Long Bao and Char Siu Bao who portraited professionalism in their face and dressing, Tekkie who is so young and sweet, Tankiasu who is a bit quiet, Nigel who brought a cake to the after party at Attic (sobs), Lianne who is so cute and bubbly, Mark who slim down and brought along her pretty gf, Jason who talak sombong langsung (Ipoh rocks!), Joe the constantly craving fella who persuades us to enter his firm, Precious Pea with perfect complexion that I suspected that she takes bird nest everyday, Paprika C who looks so much like my secondary school teacher, RA the new member which was seated beside us, TimLow and Vincent whom we wish that we could talk more to, tummythoz who is so cute and noisy, her blog partner fezzaboy who is a bit quiet and shy, lyrical lemongrass who loves me because I spray on her favourite scene, boolicious the organizer who looks stern but talks soft, babe kl who carry a smile on her face all the time, cookies cream who makes me salivate on her jogoya vip food post, SC whom I didn’t get to talk to, Adly from friedchillies who presented me the ultimate food guide, and wmw who shout us from behind “Kampungboy and Citygal”, I enjoy her laugher too. Did I missed out anyone? Looking forward for our second gathering now..

Jogoya @ Starhill Gallery Revisited

We are back but with more people and fun this time! KgBoy society mate had chosen this place for their annual dinner and being an outsider, I shamelessly tagged along! (Actually it was upon KgBoy’s request, and I have no reason to reject because he will foot the bill)
It’s a pricey annual dinner though, with around RM 100 per pax. But who cares about the price when the place offers nice environment and good food. Patrons fill up 80 percent of the place, I’m just so glad that we made reservation earlier!
We reached there around 7.30 pm after the endless traffic congestion. Everyone was so hungry that I heard some stomach growling musical fest going around! We were places in a private room because there were 9 of us. It feels good here because we can talk and laugh to ourselves.

Every table is given some metal clips to be dropped onto the counter when you want to order the cooked food. Just be patient because it takes time to be delivered to your table

These people are great especially William! I can’t stop laughing at his jokes! KgBoy is another entertainer. He urged us not to eat so much, the reason is he was afraid that Jogoya would closed down and we won’t be able to come back again! Hilarious!

Can you imagine that we can actually gobbled down so much of food? We definitely get the RM 100 worth. We recommended this place to all the jap food lovers out there, and not to forget those with big appetite like us.
Is Jogoya worth revisiting? I’ll give u a big YES because because their food always keep up to the standard. Bring your appetite and go early next time, as this place fills up really fast despite the price.

Jogoya opened their first flagship in Starhill Gallery, KL. There must be something unique about Jogoya that it can gain its fame among the highly competitive F&B industry in Taiwan. There’s a mixing of reviews among local food bloggers on the food quality. So, KampungBoy and I decided to give it a try even though the price is towards the high end side. It’s a little treat for the Birthday Gal too!

Customers must pay prior enter and we were actually the first on the booking list. Their staff ushered us into a so called couple seat. It’s actually a little cabin where you and your partner are sitting next to each other and facing a wall. I urged KampungBoy to request for seats changing, and they lead us to a small table of two. Ahhh, feel more spacious now! This place is HUGE that I got lost for few times. (A bit exaggerating, main reason is I have poor sense of direction) Every table is given some metal clips to be dropped onto the counter when you want to order the cooked food. Just be patient because it takes time to be delivered to your table.

Most of their serving staffs are actually foreigners who can’t understand English. However, they are prompt in clearing your plates and getting you spoons or tissues. Oh, it’s heart warming because they say Thank You and smile quite frequently.


Everyone try the paperpot steamboat out of curiosity. You can choose your own choice of seafood and vegetables from the counter and the soup base selections are chicken and mushroom, miso soup and tomyam soup. There’s’ a portable burner on every table to keep your soup warm.

Jogoya is a Halal restaurant..But weirdly enough that it tastes like pork..

Variety and selections of food is HUGE as well, but not all meet up to the standard. KampungBoy and I just love their drinks from fruit smoothies, small coconuts, coffee, expresso, cappuccino, plum tea and ocha. For desserts, their mousse cakes and tarts are nothing special, but I love the tiramisu, plain cheese cake and Movenpick Ice Cream from Switzerland. I tried it at Marche, The Curve and fall in love with it there after.

Can you imagine that two of us can actually gobbled down so much of food? We definitely get the RM 133.40 worth.
