What’s sweeter than a shower that matches our baby’s nickname #littlestar? With stars and twinkles inspired decoration and lots of entertainment, no detail was overlooked.
My gratitude goes to my dearest BFFs Chris & Christine, Ai Wei, Wen Ching, Edwin, Charlize, Bobo, Audrey, Hui Wen and Careen. Thanks for taking the time out for my baby shower and for the lovely surprise.
Not to forget Theresa and Chef Mun from Trader’s Hotel for planning this for months (in secret), together with Christine. They have perfectly pulled together this elegant, yet fun, baby shower, down to every last detail!
I was caught completely in surprise, and was in shock for quite a while. The story goes like this: Charlize told me that she and her husband flew back from Hong Kong and they were staying at Trader’s Hotel. Her husband wanted to meet us for afternoon tea (must be that particular Sunday and that particular time har), due to his tight schedule. I didn’t suspect anything, because Charlize’s husband travels for work a lot. KampungBoy is really good at keeping secrets too, so good until he forgot about the colour theme of the bridal shower that we both wore black to a “white, gold, silver and yellow” themed party.
Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves very much – just the right amount of people and lots of food, fun, laughter. We are so blessed.
I really love every little (star) details on the table. The diaper cake is made by Christine, she is super talented! Honey Star is my favourite cereals too!
The dining tables were covered in a soft white linen and star print outs.. Each setting had a place card with our names on it.
I love how they use starfruit and yellow tulip – matches the theme perfectly.
The fondant cake and cupcakes were so gorgeous and elaborated!
Trader’s Hotel even prepared us a mocktail list for us. Sure, I can’t drink alcohol, but that doesn’t mean my baby shower drinks have to be basic and boring.
The finger food was delicious and freshly prepared – such a perfect way to kick off a party!
We also played some games such as this diaper changing challenge where we took turns diapering the doll. Hilarious! Whoever is fastest wins. I failed terribly!
Team Penny and KampungBoy did quite well!!
We also have a baby predictions game such as baby’s height, weight, gender, eye colour, name and etc. Those prediction cards is now a lovely keepsake for me to look back on in years to come.
Thank you so much for the baby shower and the incredibly thoughtful gifts. It will definitely come in handy in the very near future. We look forward to introduce little star to you guys soon!
