    Mooncake Festival means having a host of traditional and creative new flavours of mooncakes to choose from. The recent opening of Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur also means more great quality choices for us consumers.

    Good news for mooncake diehards! This year, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is focusing on  traditional baked Cantonese mooncake, a classic version made with a nicely browned, glossy pastry. Fillings range from the traditional lotus paste to unique ones like fragrant pu-erh tea and tangerine lotus tea paste.

    Classic Flavours:
    – Lotus Seed Pastes with Double Yolk
    – White Lotus Seed Paste

    A Touch of Local Flavour:
    – Pandan Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk
    Innovative Flavours:
    – Black Sesame and Lotus Seed Paste
    – Pu-erh Tea and Tangerine Lotus Seed Paste
    – Assorted Nuts and Sun-Dried Fruits

    – Lotus Seed Paste with Eight Egg Yolks, priced at RM 208 nett per mooncake

    The 6.5 inch giant mooncake of Lotus Seed Paste with Eight Egg Yolks is not only good for sharing, but it also makes a terrific gift. I enjoyed indulging in the double egg yolk in each slices.

    These mooncakes are filled with homemade smooth and creamy paste that goes perfectly with the egg yolk. The best thing is all the mooncakes are not too sweet.

    The Lounge also offers high tea from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Both the savouries and sweets were well curated and really delicious.

    The plain scones and cranberry fruit scones at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the best that I’ve ever had. They are very light and fluffy and delicious with sweet jam, devonshire clothed creme, lescure butter and trigona’s honey.
