    February is the month of love – a time for Valentine’s Day and remembering love – emphasizing the importance of love in our lives. During this month, the restaurant radiates even more romance than normally. Candles, flowers, scents, romantic tunes, all is set for your special moment.
    The chef has designed seductive Romance Tasting Menus paired with great wines proposed by the sommelier.

    Gobo Upstairs Lounge & Grill, our favourite restaurant in Traders Hotel has came out with a 6-course menu for only RM 550 nett per couple. The set comes with two glasses of prosecco too.

    Oysters have come to represent everything sexy and luxurious about Valentine’s Day. Our menu started with some fresh, creamy and plump pacific oysters topped with caviar and lemon essence.

    For appetiser we had the Seafood Mosaic that look so beautiful that it is literally visual feast. Chopped marinated scallop, shrimps, smoked salmon, crab and avocado were being organized into vibrant, tiled compositions.

    The rich and perfectly clear consomme goes really well with some crispy chicken wanton and spicy fragrant oil.

    Rack of Lamb with Garlic & Herbs

    The succulent rack of lamb was perfectly pink in the middle. Every bite was so tender and juicy and the hazelnuts and herbs crust was crispy and delicious. Perfect with some curried couscous, garlic puree, asparagus and mint yogurt.

    Pan Seared Cod Fish

    Pan-searing cod fish gives it a delicately crisp outer skin and perfectly tender, moist, and flaky fish inside. The sharp, almost lemony flavour of sorrel cream contrasts beautifully with the delicate cod. The fondant potatoes were buttery, crispy on the outside, creamy in the middle.

    Who doesn’t love a good dessert platter, especially for Valentine’s Day. Celebrate your love with some raspberry, mille-feullie, mousse, red velvet soil, pavlova, mixed berries compote and edible white chocolate candle.

    Gobo Upstairs is offering a 6-course Vegetarian Set Dinner (RM 488 nett per couple) to ensure that everyone is included on this special day too. The set consists of Gazpacho Shot, Compressed Duo Watermelon, Blue Potato Soup, Sorbet, Beetroot Risotto and Panda Cotta. We tried a little bit of everything and surprisingly most of the courses were quite delicious, without compromising on flavours.

    Each couple is being presented with a cute edible chocolate box with two heart shaped chocolates inside. What a sweet gesture!
