    Shangri-La Hotel’s watering hole, Arthur’s Bar & Grill is a Manhattan-style bar and grill with contemporary furnishings.

    Located on the first floor of Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, the bar is serving up some really tantalising pub grubs and different bands perform every Friday from 6.30pm to 10pm at Arthur’s Bar & Grill. Guests can enjoy various music genres, from jazz to R&B, pop and reggae.

    Expect to see some old favourites such as fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and nachos on the menu. However, we were excited to see some local favourites such as mee mamak, satay and ckt!

    We started our night with some cocktails and tapas. The tapas selection in Arthur’s Bar is reasonably priced, ranging from RM 20+ to RM 30+.

    These cocktails come in pretty colours and sweet flavours but don’t be fooled by their innocent appearance. They were potently delicious!

    Portobello Mushroom Bruschetta – this is a truly delicious dish that will convert even the most staunch mushroom critics!

    Garlic Prawns with Dried Chillies (RM34). It was really flavourful – garlicky, spicy and briny.

    Stir Fried Button Mushroom – it was a bit too bland for my likings.

    To our surprise, the peanuts were really huge in size and in flavours too! Such a great beer snacks!

    The Australian Black Angus Prime Rib (RM 125) is a must-try for meat lovers.

    The dish comes with bearnaise and natural jus, yorkshire pudding , mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The cut was was juicy and incredibly tender with just the right amount of fats. The portion is really huge for one pax though, it would be just nice for 2 pax.

    Seafood Mee Mamak (RM 62)

    RM 62 might sounds like an exorbitant price to pay for a plate of mee mamak but I can assure you that it is worth every single cents! Loaded with prawns, clams and scallops; the mee mamak was full of wok hei and every single strand of noodles was throughly coated in chef’s secret sauce.

    Arthur’s Beef Burger “The Works” (RM 75)

    Double beef patty, cheddar cheese, fried egg, smoked beef brisket, caramelised onions, mushrooms…this tall stack burger can satisfy any grown ups with huge appetite!

    Peach Cobbler (RM 35)

    Canned peaches simmered in sugaring mixture and place in a buttery, crispy bread crust…so good when paired together with the maple walnut ice cream! We finished the whole thing in a jiffy!

    Tahitian Vanilla Creme Brûlée (RM 38)
    Tahitian vanilla is like the the crème de la crème in the word of vanilla, so the flavour is amazing. However, the creme brûlée is a tad too firm for my likings.

    Arthur’s Bar & Grill is also running a Happy Hour promotion at Arthur’s Bar & Grill from 5pm to 8pm daily.

    Have a bucket of 6 beers – Tiger and Carlsberg – at RM88 nett, or a Tower at RM140 nett. Asahi at RM25 nett for half print. Enjoy house wine by the glass, buy one get one free. Selected cocktails are RM65 nett per carafe.
