Isetan The Japan Store @ Lot 10, KL

The brand new Isetan The Japan Store @ Lot 10, KL is finally opening their door to the public today (27 Oct 2016). There are only two Japan Store concept stores in the world, the other one being its smaller counterpart in Paris.

Each floor is designed to generate its own distinctive appeal:

LGF: The Market – experience the seasonal flavours
GF: The Museum – experience the ultimate japan
1F: The Studio – experience the fashion live
2F: The Room – experience the grateful lifestyle
3F: The Cube – experience the inspiring culture
4F: Restaurant Floor, will open in 2017

    The Market:

What attracted us the most is the food hall. I had to pinch myself to verify that I’m in KL, not in Japan! I got to try my favourite Hitachino Nest Draft Beer (the owl beer) here, all the sakes divided by the different regions of Japan, award winning pastries from Henri Chapentier, fresh sushis (air flown from Japan), seafood, matcha from Kyoto’s Fukujuen and etc.

Magical Accessories By Sailor Moon x QPOT

    The Room:

Beauty junkies will find a piece of their heaven here. This floor carries many Japanaese cosmetic brands such as SKII, Shiseido, THREE, Albion and etc. My favourite hair salon 76Style also collaborate with uka to offer a beauty, hair and nail salon. There’s a Ukafe that emphasis on clean-eating here.

    The Cube:

The Cube is my favourite space, other than the food hall of course. There’s a bookstore with special curated book, in collaboration with Kikokuniya. Workshops are often held here, such as calligraphy, flower arranging and tea ceremony classes (must book ahead). FabSPACE is the most impressive space, where one can rent the 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines from RM 30 for 30 minutes. I do enjoy having my cup of hand brew coffee from X Coffee while flipping through the books here.
