These days, especially before the seasonal hot CNY weather, air-conditioning is essential to our daily lives. The sweltering sun outside is blissfully tempered by the blast of cool air that greets us in every coffee shop, shopping mall or office building.
Air conditioning is a prominent feature at our home and in my office.
I spend at least 8 hours of my daily life in the office, and another 8 hours in our bedroom. During the weekends, our family activities are centered around the shopping malls (just like most Malaysians). Hence that cool blast from the air conditioner leaves my skin dried out.
Normally our skin has multiple mechanisms to keep it hydrated and prevent it from drying. Air conditioning affects our body temperature mechanism and reduces the production of sweat at most areas, leading to dry and dehydrated skin. For those who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema or rosacea, air conditioning will further aggravate the problem. For me, the most obvious issue I am facing is itchy and flaky skin.
The solution is pretty simple. First, I need to make sure that I am drinking enough water to keep my skin hydrated. Secondly, I will need to moisturize my skin with a reliable brand of moisturiser.
I first heard about Physiogel from my friend who has been suffering from eczema for years. He uses Physiogel cream and according to him, that is the only cream that is keeping his eczema problem under control.
Physiogel Moisturizers by GSK is a range of skincare products that are hypoallergenic
• Hypoallergenic
• Non-comedogenic
• No colorants
• No preservatives
•No Fragrance
•No Conventional Emulsifiers
Apart from that, Physiogel is recommended by DERMATOLOGIST in more than 60 countries worldwide.
The cleanser is a hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic soap free cleanser that cleanses, soothes & softens without drying the skin.
I also love the hypoallergenic moisturizing lotion and cream that provides physiological lipids in DMS technology, a structure similar to skin, hence revitalizing & repairing dry skin.
I love sleeping in a cold bedroom but dislike waking up with cracked, dry skin. So I apply Physiogel Lotion on my whole body and Physiogel cream on targeted areas such as elbows, kneecaps and feet twice a day.
How does Physiogel work its magic? We all know that traditionally oil and water do not mix.
Unlike the other moisturisers available in the market, PHYSIOGEL DMS Creams consist mainly of natural lipids and water without O/W emulsifiers. The natural lipids is made of all natural ingredients.
Due to unique DMS (Derma Membrane Structure) technology, Physiogel obtains a lamellar structure similar to the skin. This is also why I can feel that upon application, the lotion/cream absorbs really quick without any sticky feeling. It keeps my skin hydrated for a longer period of time too. I can still wake up the next morning, touch my skin and it still feel very smooth and well hydrated.
Physiogel does not only moisturise your skin but it also rebuilds it with the help of DMS technology containing ceramides and physiological lipids that mimic the skin’s lipid layers. I have been trying a lot of other moisturizers and most of them only keep my skin surface hydrate without doing any repair or revitalizing work. I also like how it is fragrant and colour free, as I hate off-putting scents.
Can you see the obvious differences? My left elbow is well moisturized and glowing. My right elbow is still dry and dull looking.
These bottles are becoming my office essential too!
Now my skin is ready for anything – at work or at home!
