Sunday Masquerades Lunch @ Shook! in Starhill Gallery

One of the most memorable meals we’ve had in year 2012 was in Shook!, Starhill Gallery. We were there for the Sunday Masquerades Lunch, which happened to be one of those rare meals where everything was perfect. Everything starts from the food, the service, the ambiance down to the booze, the entertainment and the souvenirs makes it an unique dining experience.

Shook!’s team really went all out in preparation of the Mardi Gras-themed masquerade party. Beads, glitter and vibrant colors were spotted everywhere; which created a fanfare of spectacular colours and attitudes.

Here, the wait staffs dressed up in their flamboyant best; turning themselves into the pomp and pageantry of Royal Court Jesters and Sultry Sirens in feathered masks and Medieval Damsels in distress.

Shook! is transformed into an open theatre with the grandest feast in town featuring world class cuisines and free-flow champagnes, served with fun-filled fantasies on Sunday Masquerades. We loved the bright, funky and versatile Jester fabric seat the most. Very carnival-ish!

    Dancing Prawns

The ala-carte menu of the Chinese cooking station deserves a special mention. We ordered the scrumptious signature dish of Dancing Prawns, King Prawn noodles and Roasted Goose noodles. The ala carte dishes came with a touch of personalised service, making them really delicious! Must order!
