Dare to Bare!

I’m one of those girls who grew up watching SK-II TVC showing their brand ambassadors in crystal clear skin with minimal make up. The scene will then move to feature an elderly worker with wrinkled face, but extraordinary soft and youthful hand that were in constant contact with the sake fermentation process.

It was a great challenge for me going to work bare faced because quite frankly, I would rather be penniless than to leave the house without powdering my noses or swiping on my trusty foundation. My initial anxiety and hesitation vanished when my colleagues commented me that I actually looked younger with minimal make up. And I have some spare time for breakfast too!

On that night itself, some friends came over to my place for dinner and I felt really comfortable without any traces of makeup. For the first time, I’m revealing my bare face to my closest friends but it did not send them into shock. So I guess it’s a good start? :p
