You did very well within that period of stay!
Looks like you really did your homework beforehand too : D
And, if I sound a just a tad jealous
, you managed to et some egg crepes from 德成號 Duck Shing Ho, amazing! I walked past it the other day and they said because of the upcoming 2011 Chinese New Year, they are struggling to fulfil supplies over demand! So I left empty handed again arrghhh… it seems to be the case every year from Dec onwards!
ALL SOLD OUT NOW, SO VERY LUCKY YOU !! : p

Hi Apple, for this trip our stay in cosmo kowloon, HK disneyland hotel + HK disneyland park entrance + air ticket is sponsored. we paid only for grand harbour hotel, and our daily expenses. SO I spent about RM 1200 only.
For better comparison, we spent 2500 for our HK trip in 2009, 6 days, air tic + shopping included.

Hi Ye Yan,
Thanks for being a wonderful reader.
bridal tea house (yaumetei):
pros- great location, 2 min walk from yaumatei MTR station, rooms are clean n OK
cons-rooms are small, take time to wait for the lift if ur staying at high floors, safety issue coz its located near to temple street (i guess shud be ok, walking around HK is pretty safe)
cosmo kowloon:
pros- new, nice, modern room, great customer service
cons-location is weird (geographical wise; its near to mongkok, about 15 min walk, so if u know how to take bus, very convenient to get around. however, the nearest MTR station is Olympic, so it makes taking MTR difficult becoz u need to keep changing train. Olympic station is at a dif line. the hotel do provide shuttle buses to tsim tsa tsui, kowloon station, etc but the service ends at 12am)
so its up to u to decide? :p

thanks for ur advise, very details =)
i headache to choose between these two hotels, bridal tea house’s location really vy convenient to me…and around there got many food store…on the other hand, Cosmo Kowloon is new and i think bigger than bridal tea house…just i read some reviews said its location no so good, quite far….is not so convenient….but i like stayed modern hotel, haha…
based on ur advise, maybe i will choose stay both two hotels, 2days at bridal, 2days at Cosmo….haha…is it good idea? (coz my brother them like to eat local HKfood…bridal tea house’s location suit him to eat around there; we also hope can hv nice sleeping environment, so choose two day at Cosmo lor ><)
before get ur opinion, we already got 共识….now read ur reply, let us more 坚持our decision…haha..really thanks for ur info, ur blog is good, nice info.and nice picture ^^

hi there, i like reading ur blog.. especially travel one
u mention that ur hk & macau trip u spent rm2.5k including everything. i would like to know whether it’s both of u or per person? would u consider it’s a budget trip? i’m not sure whether hw much $ to budget for tis trip cz i plan to go to a few attractions in hk & macau.
i planning to haf a hk & macau trip bt it’s only 5D4N. do u think it’s kinda rush if i spend a day at macau without overnite?
thanks for ur sharing

Hi yvonne, thanks
ya for my 2009 trip, we spent 2.5k per person. but that time the HKD currency is very high, it’s much lower now.
you can do it with RM 2000, as long as you can get cheap flight tickets (RM 200+ per person) and cheap accomodation (RM 100 per person per night).

oh ok thanks for ur info. bt too bad.. my flight is nt tat cheap eventho it’s from AA. i tot of staying in bridal tea hse as u mention on ur blog bt it’s nt available at d time i go
. accommodation in hk is kinda pricey if it’s located in gd location.
regarding the macau one day trip i ask earlier, would u think it’s best to hop over to macau or jz stick to hk itself? it’s possible to go to macau early in d morning n bek to hk at nite? probably approximate wat time should i leave macau in order for me to catch up wif d last mrt at hk?
