GTower, a new working concept incorporating office space, members-only private club and a boutique hotel called The G City Club Hotel, is strategically located at the crossroads of Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur.
It is also the first dully certified green building in Malaysia, awarded by the BCA Green Mark scheme.
People who do their bit for the environment when they’re at home can now do the same when they’re staying in a hotel like the GTower Hotel. Thanks to the management of GTower Hotel, we get to spend a night at the hotel to experience some of the ‘green’ features that the hotel has to offer.
The boutique style hotel, with only 180 rooms, is occupying three storeys of the GTower building. Spanning 36 sq meter, my executive club room has all the basic amenities that one needs. It is modern, contemporary trendy with large king size bed, spacious bathrooms and bespoke toiletries. The bed was so soft and luxurious that I konked out in no time. And in the next morning, me and my girlfriend find it extremely difficult to wake up for breakfast. :p
tea & coffee making facilities
spacious bathroom with rain shower (OMG!)
dressing area and toiletries
walk-in wardrobe
executive work desk with complimentary hi-speed wired and wireless Internet access
Ipod docking system
Guests are required to check in at the 11th floor
the common area
The check in process is a little more no frills where you get to sit face-to-face with the friendly staffs. A smaller hotel also allows for a more personal touch such as upon checking in the clerk escorted me to room to point out things such as the camouflage iron board which took some time to figure out.
There are two heated Infinity pool on Level 7 or Level 11. Both salt water pools (another green initiatives) are overlooking the Kuala Lumpur skyline.
I love the jacuzzi part the most.
I could just lie here all day 🙂
to infinity and beyond!
Hotel guests can also workout at the wellness floor, which offers a variety of modern cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
Located at the Penthouse of GTower, The Club is accessible to hotel guests. The Club and its areas are fitted with wood from sustainable sources and certified green materials. Most of the furnishings are recycled and also made from wood from sustainable sources.
Membership to the club is strictly by invitation, however hotel guests enjoy complimentary short term membership with all privileges accorded to regular members. The Bridge Bar is also exclusively accessible by the hotel guests. Guests will be presented with a complimentary F&B voucher to the Bridge Bar upon checking in.
To grab a quick bite, one can always go down to the ground floor where Social KL is located.
It was a lovely place; I met up with my uni friends over some good coffees and pastries here.
the bar
Oooo Rakuzen is here too! And of course, there’s Trattoria Tanzini, the most talked about restaurant in town at the moment.
Breakfast is served at the Club Lounge daily.
Small but tantalizing selection.
how do you like your eggs, mdam?
power breakfast!
coffee with a beautiful view of the KL city skyline.

hi Vin, no problem :))
Hi,
When I read the title about The GTower Hotel, first fully certified green building in Malaysia, I took a double take as I remembered Sunway Challis was the first one awarded. But after some googling, I found out that Sunway Challis is the 1st landed residential development awarded which is a different thing from “building”. *i think* 🙂
However, when I went into G City Club hotel website, I could not find any info about it being awarded a green building. Just a part that says ” housed within Malaysia’s First Green and Smart building “… Does it meant that Gtower is certified but the G City Club Hotel is not?
I think your title abit misleading la.. or maybe I read it differently..
nice roof’ swimming pool and lounge, definitely my next stop in kuala lumpur 🙂

More & more hotels are becoming green hotels. LEED award is one of the recognized green building award recognized worldwide. I guess GTower received this award for being green.
Hey the place looks very comfy and amazing. My husband and I are planning to take an Asian tour, and Malaysia is included in the destination. Mine if I had the number of the hotel so that I could confirm and have a reservation there. Thank you!
