Bridge Bar, GTower – Day & Night

IMG_9855
Bridge Bar is an exclusive and intimate bar located at the sky bridge linking the twin GTower buildings on the 28th floor. By exclusive I mean it is strictly accessible by hotel guests and club members only. However, the management  indicated that they will be opening to the public in near term. Hurray!! members of the public wishing to visit the Bridge Bar will be charged a RM50 cover charge which includes 1 drink, payable at the Front Counter of The Club.

The place is beautiful during the day, as well as when the night falls. Let’s see…

The bar is a modern and stylish watering hole. I especially love those reflective glass ceilings – everything looks better with a glass ceiling!

Trattoria Tanzini @ GTower, Jalan Tun Razak

DSC_5257
Together with AiWei and a girlfriend, we had a great weekend at GTower Hotel, thanks to the hotel management and VK for extending the invitation. We were also given the privilege to dine at Trattoria Tanzini, an elegant Italian restaurant that occupies the 28th and 29th floor. If it’s the perfect view that makes you feel romantic, you can do no better than Tanzini that overlooks the city skyline.

Tanzini is fine dining in every sense of the word, with its sleek styling and its menu crafted for multicourse dining.

I’ve decided to finally get off my lazy ass and to write about our WA trip. While we are still recovering from our post holiday blues, I’ll start with a day tour that we joined on the 4th day of our trip.

We were required to assemble at Perth Sightseeing Centre at 7.45 am. We grabbed some coffee and muffins on-the-run from Croissant Express located just across the street. If you are looking for delicious food in a hurry, Croissant Express should be your destination.

Travel around WA

Self driving is one of the best way to experience the unique landscapes of Western Australia. There are a lot of car rental companies and motor homes with a wide fleet of cars. Most rental T&C would state that if your license is not in English, you will have to get an International Driving Permit (IDP). However, based on friend and families past experience, Malaysian driving license alone is sufficient so we just present our existing Malaysian driving license. If you are not sure, please check with them beforehand.

We rented a 2 door Hyundai Getz from Red Spot at AUD 243 for 3 days. The rate was inclusive of GPS rental, Premium Road Side Coverage and insurance cover with zero damange liabilities. Other reputable car companies include Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Avis and Thrifty. M2000 and No Birds (Bayswater) offer most competitive rates but please read the T&C carefully.

We headed South right after we picked up the car at 7 am. We stopped by Mandurah, the second-largest city in Western Australia. It is also well known for its million dollar houses located along the shore.
