RT Pastry House @ Taman Danau Desa
precious that comes in a little brown box
RT Pastry House, a Taiwanese bakery is so famous that they need no further introduction. Other than the outlet in Danau Desa, they have another two outlets located at Subang Jaya and IOI Boulevard.
I love their cheese cakes; the blueberry cheese cake (RM 4.50) to be specific. It is lighter than usual, but the cheese flavor is very rich and intense. And for some reasons, blueberries always go well with cheese.
Their azuki green tea bread & cake (RM7) is very good but it comes with a very short shelf life. It has to be consumed within three days. Easy peasy, we can do it within a day!
Birthday cakes were delicious and reasonably priced too. This one was RM 38 I think.

The price is rather reasonable, being a famous chain from Taiwan and all ….

You might want to pay PastryCulture a visit. It’s a newly opened pasty shop located at the Ground floor of Tropicana City Mall, near the escalator (Room 18).
I like their cakes =) go try!

i like PastryCulture’s cakes too…. but their service need lots of improvement !!!
My 1st n 2nd visits were both bad experience. On 2nd visit, I went there specially to buy their fruit cake ( n give it another chance after my bad 1st visit ). I reach around 10.30am but the staff ask me to come back after 6pm to collect the cake… i was ==”””’ as there were no one waiting to collect cakes ( maybe their cakes are too hot selling that they need such long tome to finish the order ) This is in 2011

I went to RT last Sunday evening, it was long queue however, I saw the staff are talking to each other, to name one is the one with long strand of hair……. I noticed her for quite some times as she didnt even bother about the long queue and continued to crack joke with the staff.
No doubt, the pastry or dessert in RT is nice and tasty, but I trust if such service continues ……… sigh…… you think yourself the consequences……..

My 1st time visit is last sunday.I see ppl Q up ! (seldom see ppl Q up inside a cake shop)
I bought a green tea cake ( very small size ) .
rating = *** ( 3 stars out of 5 stars)
I think they are trying to make a japanese style cake
But, If compare with secret recipi, i will still prefer the taste of secret recipi than this shop.
Anyway, this shop had done a good job! the cake is not bad !
