Snowflake Pavilion is having a BUY 1 FREE 1 promotion until 31 January 2010! Don’t miss it!
My colleague inadvertently introduced me to this dessert place in SS15 that is manned by her friends – a Taiwanese husband and Malaysian wife team. The dynamic duo has been working on the menu and the recipes prior to the opening of their brainchild – Snowflake. The husband even worked in one of the dessert places in Taiwan to learn how to operate a restaurant. And now they have opened a second outlet in Pavilion Mall within a year; this is a true recognition of the care and effort they put into making the dessert place a special place for guests to stay and dine.
I managed to persuade KampungBoy to give the place a try by telling him that Snowflake’s Taro Ball is as good as the one from Jiufen, Taiwan. The Pavilion outlet is more like a kiosk, unlike the spacious setting in SS15. Once you have placed your order, the waiting staff will give you a cute device – beeping UFO. It will beeps and vibrates to let you know that your desserts are ready!
We had the Snowflake Bestseller (RM6.50) with grass jelly, grass jelly ice , taro balls and creamer.
Add creamer to taste
Stir the cream lightly with a spoon.
And proceed to dig in! The taro balls were pleasantly chewy with a light hint of yam; almost as good as those taro balls from 阿柑姨芋圓 Ah Gan Yee Taro Balls in Jiufen, Taiwan. The grass jelly and grass jelly flavoured shaved ice was really refreshing and cooling. Snowflake’s desserts are perfect for someone who is looking for something not too sweet and a quick cool down from the scorching heat.

Hi How do I get in touch with the owner of this? Can’t find in Singapore. Is this for franchise? Many times went to Pavilion and without fail will patronise Snowflake.
Hi Arsitah,
This is Keith from Snowflake. I am the director of marketing and communications as well as one of the shareholders and yes, we are opening up for expansion. However, it will be licensing and not franchising. If you are interested, please email me at silentlyrampant@gmail.com. Thanks
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the great reviews and we hope to introduce more great desserts in time to come. Try the hot bestseller. The hot grass jelly turns from liquid to jelly the more you eat! And also it tastes really nice!
Hi Keith, thanks for enlightening
WELL I TASTED YOUR DESSERT PRETTY GOOD AND COMPARABLE TO TAIWAN’S AS I HAD IT IN TAIWAN WHENEVER I’M THERE. MY 1ST TIME VISIT WAS GOOD BUT SAD TO SAY THAT MY SECOND VISIT AT KUCHAI’S OUTLET IT CUT TO HALF THE SIZE I HAD. IT WAS VERY SURPRISE TO ME.
IF THERE IS NO STANDARDIZATION PERHAPS IT WILL NOT LAST. MY LITTLE SUGGESTION.
THANK YOU.
Hi Keith,
I had drop you an email on licensing/franchising but did not get any of your reply. Would appreciattif you could drop me a reply.
Thanks

I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s
equally educative and interesting, and let me tell
you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few men and women are speaking
intelligently about. I’m very happy I stumbled across this during my search for something relating to this.
Excellent post! We will be linking to this great content on our website.
Keep up the good writing.
