Hmmm…so nice! I just came back from Bangkok 3 weeks ago with my family. I tell you…that mummy of mine refused to let me eat Bangkok street food! She said very dirty and unhealthy. T___T
I had to eat Teochew food (steamed chicken, veggies and porridge) in Bangkok!! *faints*

The last time I went to Bangkok is sort of like a splash and dash trip. Only for 3 days, only lepaking around shopping malls and Chatuchak. Maybe time to visit again.

I love Bangkok! I’ve only been there once but I can’t wait to go again this year.
The sausage wrapped in waffle reminds me of this awesome huge foot long sausage I used to eat when I was 15 and in high school in Christchurch. Memories!

Hullo KBCG, Been following your blog for a little while now. Great posts. Love how you’re so informative but always spiced with lots of humour. I am planning a trip to Msia later on this year and would like to pick your brains re choice of hotels in KL and Penang. i) KL – apart from Mandarin and RitzCarlton, which hotel would be your choice and why and ii) Penang – have you heard any reports about the E&O (I want to stay in Georgetown) or the one by Shangrila? There is also another hotel housed in a couple of old Chinese shophouses, forgot the name. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

hi gob, thanks for following us! Generally 4-5 stars hotel in KL is not too bad, it depends on which area do u intend to stay. U can try mandarin, trader’s hotel and nikko hotel in around KLCC, hilton/le meridien very close to KL Sentral (easy for u to move around), or ritz, sheraton imperial and shangrila around the golden triangle.
yes! hotel E&O is famous, n its absolutely gorgeous!

Hi again, thanks for the prompt reply and tips. So, I am guessing you’re favouring Hilton or Meridien based on convenience. I know that Hilton’s got uniform ‘look’ for all their hotels and judging by the one here in Sydney; not liking it so much. I’ve heard about the poolside bar at Traders. As for Penang, sounds like E&O then. Although the photos of that hotel in the shophouse looked so cute – just like Crouching Tiger in real life! Yep, been watching too many movies, obviously! Thanks again.
