Hi, I’d love to know more about the stay in luo dong, it looks fantastic just like a wonderland. Could you provide more detail of the place, such as transportation, price, and activities? Thanks and your blog is really informative.

hi chester,
u can take a train frm taipei to luodong station (1 hr ride). Our room costs about nt3300 a night, and places of attraction nearby is luoding night market and a traditional art museum. more like a place to relax. its better to call the owner and maybe he can arrange for a whale watching tour too

Thank you very much for your reply. I have gone thru the Rotternburg website too and found that the only communication with the owner is telephone. As it was mentioned in the website, did you made payment for the booking in advance? Thx.. Cheers .. chester

[...] A minsu in Taiwan is like a Bed & Breakfast kind of inn where you established a close relationship with the owner. Even though most daily rent suites/rooms claimed themselves as minsu but I beg to differ because you hardly interact with the owners. There are a lot of nice minsu outside Taipei such as Windsor @ Jiufen and Rottenburg @ Yilan. [...]

Hi Gal,
I would like to go to Rothenburg Lodge from Taipei. I understand that it is located at Luodong in Yilan. May i know after reaching Yilan train station, how do i get to Luodong? And from Luodong, how do i get to Taoyuan Airport?
Thanks a lot in advance. =)
Love,
Kate
