Bermuda & Onion @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

IMG_3032

I hope that I’m not the last person who blogged about Bermuda & Onion, the not so new Oink Oink place located at the ever happening Changkat Bukit Bintang (next to Flam’s).

Al Fresco dining

Parking is hell on a week day evening. We have to park our car at one of the open space parking that charges RM10 per entry.

Indoor dining

The tastefully designed interior is modern and spacious, with a backdrop of soft soothing music that creates a truly unique dining experience.
IMG_2822

Read from Vkeong that the quirky name came from the former head chef and large ornamental of onions were seen around the restaurant.

They also have an extensive wine list and cocktail list.

Mojito (RM19- sunset hour/ RM26- normal hour)

Lychee Martini

For starters, we had the Chicken Caesar Salad (RM28). Simply delicious and refreshing, this salad is perfect to counter the ‘guilt factor’ that we are going to experience later.
IMG_2889

Skewer Combo Platter (RM32). Bacon with Asparagus, Bacon with Prawns, Bacon with Scallops, need I to say more? Bacon goes well with everything! I’ve even tried Bacon with Bananas in a barbecued party and when I’m trying to get a second serving, they vanished without trace.
IMG_2921

The Seafood Spaghetti Olio (RM32) was nothing to shout about. The seafood were fresh, the pasta was cooked al dente but something is missing here.
IMG_2974

B&O Pork Mixed Platter: For 2 person (RM72). With PORK ribs, PORK sausages, PORK loins and PORK belly, the portion can easily feed four! I like the loins, ribs and sausages best, while the pork belly appeared to be rather lackluster. Made with coarsely ground, lean pork meat, the pork sausage was delicious on its own right. The ribs were meaty, moist, tender, and flavorful.

How did KampungBoy win my heart?  By bribing me porky goodies as such.
IMG_3018

Hot Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM18). Something unmistakably delicious with hot and cold sensation all in one bite.

Ending the meal with a cup of espresso. With great food, reasonable price, fun ambiance and attentice services (look for Romain, the restaurant manager), B&O is certainly the place to go for a hearty fare.

Bermuda and Onion does not serve pork. There has either been a change of management or a change of menu. They have beef sausages. An abomination!
