One of the seven national parks in Taiwan, the Yangmingshan National Park is located at Taipei City. The National Park is famous for its cherry blossoms (spring) and hot springs (winter), which explains why summer is probably the worst time to visit YMS. We went there on the third day of our trip but did not stay long as boredom took over us.

To make things worst, we were really annoyed with YMS’s low frequency bus route that generally runs four or fewer buses in an hour. FYI, leisure bus 108 will make several pit stops at tourist attractions along YMS and you pay only NT 60 to hop on / hop off.  Only on weekends and during spring, bus frequency will increases to every 10-15 minutes.

Ribs by Vintry @ Bukit Damansara

IMG_0236

Just a few doors away from Vintry, Ribs by Vintry has a similar menu but most people come here for their R-I-B-S. Bad business strategy I would say, thou shall never put all your eggs into a basket. But apparently it works another way for Vintry because most of the tables in both premises were seated on the Friday night when we dined in.

On the second day of our stay in Taipei, we had a very awesome breakfast at this place called Fu Hang Dou Jiang, located at the second floor of  HuaShan Market Building. We reached there around nine only the find that the queue was really long  and it was being stretched all the way towards the other end. Could you spot me?
IMG_0744

You’ll notice when you walk in that there are two lines. The left line is to dine here while the right line is for takeaways. Be forewarned that not even an English alphabet is found on the menu/sign board, and it’s really hard to pinpoint because  most of the food was freshly made upon order. So please bring along a friend who can read/speak chinese, ie me.
