Yong Len Coffee Shop @ Taman Tun Dr Ismail
We have heard so much about the famous prawn noodles in Yong Len Coffee Shop at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail but it wasn’t until last month we made an effort to drop by.
The coffee shop was so crowded that we have to push our way to the back and wait for a table. Expectations on the prawn noodles were set high as almost everyone in the restaurant was having it. We were sad to say that the prawn noodles do not live up to all the hype surrounding it. The broth was too sweet, even an addition of chili sambal doesn’t do any good.
Feeling unsatisfied, we ordered a plate of char kuey teow and it was all good! Full of wok hei, the flat noodles were dry and slightly charred with very fresh prawns and plump bean sprounts which reminds me of Ipoh’s Sar Hor Fun.
