Are you one of those one of anti-Valentine’s Day zealots, thinking that it was commercialized and hated the endless jams, booming prices of flowers and the stress of locating a nice fancy restaurant.
In fact, I heart Valentine’s Day. It’s a day where you shows your loved one how much you appreciate them, not with fancy luxurious gift, but with a small hand made card or notes. I know V day hatreds will say that you don’t need a special day to show someone you love them; you should celebrate your love everyday!
There is so much love in this world and in everyone’s life, and there’s nothing wrong with celebrating it.It’s great to see merry couples flaunting their mutual bliss everywhere. This year, we were caught in the jam and dine in an overcrowded restaurant but it was still a great Valentine’s Day because we have each other.
From next year onwards, I would banned Kgboy from getting me flowers and gifts and we’ll have Mcd Delivery or Tai Chao over the neighbourhood, leaning on the couch and watch DVD. Sounds great huh?

Tired of my ramblings? Let’s get back to the food! Our initial plan was Delicious cafe but they are closing by the time we reached One Utama. There goes my Lamb Masala, Shepherd’s Pie, Duck Confit and Heart Shaped Latte! So, we ended up at SOHO that needs no furthur introduction as quite a number of floggers has wrote about it before.

They are serving some new items for Chinese New Year.

Jasmine tea for my flu virus stricken Kampungboy.

Signature Beef Stew Fried Rice ??????? (RM 16). The fried rice is aromatic and the stew beef is tender. I’m glad that the serving staff never stopped us from taking pictures just like what they did to
eatinout. Just some staring here and there but who cares?

Crispy Duck La Mien (RM 14). This sucks big time, the broth is tasteless and the duck is not crispy at all!

Shanghai Steamed Meat Dumpling ??????? (RM 7). The skin is too thick but the meat filling is juicy and sweet.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

After SOHO, we dropped by here to meet up with Kampungboy’s friends. A lot of you must be wondering, how could it get away from the trademark issues by using the same name as our friends making portal? The friend making portal friendster uses a small s while the Friendster cafe uses an capital F. Smart huh??

The outdoor setting is cosy and intimate, great place to chill out with friends. there is no feeling of clutter that usually accompanies nightspots. The seats were comfortable and the staff service prompt and friendly.
Did you saw that? The logo of Friendster Cafe is like a total rip-off from Starbucks. I have to say that the owner is innovative.

My cup of frothy cafe latte, perfect for chasing away my sleeping bug. It was overpriced at RM 10++, the flavour is not smooth and it is too light for me.
Ice blended mango (Large) RM 12. I have to admit that this is good though, full of mango flavour and the sweetness is not too empowering.

A lovey dovey picture of Kampungboy and Citygal In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, the place is nicely decorated with white organza flow, ballons, wine bottles and candles. I like the heart shape curtain tie back the most. There was a voice inside my heart that ask me to snap a pair of it away but I’m a big time coward. Haha!

Like I said, the environment is great for chilling out, the drink list is extensive but it’s more to the pricy side and the service staff is attentive. I have yet to tried their food so no comments on that. Location map from
