What a day!! 13 March 2006

The number 13 both have foreboding reputations said to dated from ancient times that it causes more misfortune than some anyone can bear. I should have be superstitious! Of all signs : I left my handphone at home, my printer is not functioning, the egg that i crack to my breakfast mee is stink..that are trying to give me hints..

The stories begin with the si beh semangat June and me who wanted to take train to PWTC tourism malaysia for our assignment surveys. Yichang, being a super duper nice guy volunteered to drop us on his way back to Puchong. There were some super teeny weeny stones hitting upon his windscreen ocassionally but we were too lazy to bother about it. All of a sudden..BOOOOOOP!! June and me thought that it was a tyre punctured case. Hold on! We heard the cracking sound of glasses and the crack spread to the whole windscreen. Yichang drove his car to the side without any delay while our savior HUP LIM is on the way here to pick us up..Poor thing Yichang have to get his car fix and probably getting himself fix by the parents..Of all cars..WHY US??

After we are done with the survey thingy, we take a break at this ramen shop at sungai wang. It’s a cheap deal with big portion but it’s not a place for you if you are opting for japanese food with quality. The fried rice set that we ordered is only RM 8.90. It’s super filling but tastes flat.

On the way back, we stopped by this wantan mee place recommended by June. From berjaya times square go straight until you reach the second traffic light. Turn left and go straight all the way and use the underpath, not the flyover. You will see a roundabout, turn at 3 o clock from your direction and you will spot the shop after you go straight for another 2 minutes. According to June, they open till the wee hours of dawn because youngsters love coming here after clubbing.

The famous sungai besi wantan mee

Other than the usual wantan and char siew, they have chicken leg with mushroom, curry wild boar, ginger duck, sourish pork leg (they wrote ss pig leg??!!), hakka stew pork and dumplings with their signature mee.

The mee is different from what we have outside. It’s very springy!!

Even Ally and June who doesnt take sambal usually loves this one!!

The wantan mee saved my day!!
